MENTEE AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. I will pray to God/Jesus, read the bible, and attend church on a regular basis because I understand that staying connected to God provides the foundation of this mentorship program.
2. I understand that "mentorship" is a relationship I have with my mentor that is designed to facilitate the development of long-term personal goals and to develop a plan/strategy for achieving those long-term goals. I understand that my mentor may give suggestions to try different exercises to help me to have the breakthroughs that I need.
3. I promise to tell my mentor when I feel triggered or do not feel comfortable during any part of our mentorship sessions. This will alert my mentor to try a different exercise with me.
4. As the mentee, I understand that although my mentor will give me ideas on actions I may take and exercises I may try, I am fully responsible for the decisions and choices I make during my mentorship program (during the time I spend with my mentor and during the time in-between our sessions).
5. Mentorship is not a substitute for counseling, mental health care, or substance abuse treatment.
6. I promise to tell my mentor if I begin therapy, begin taking any medications, begin taking any drugs, am admitted into mental health care, or am admitted to substance abuse treatment.
7. I understand that mentorship is a comprehensive process, which may involve all areas of my life including work, family, health, relationships, education and recreation. I acknowledge that deciding how to handle any issues is my responsibility.
8. I understand that this mentorship program will inevitably bring up past wounding and pain for me to work through, and this will be emotionally, mentally, and physically challenging to deal with at times (sometimes even for a long time). I agree to pray for courage, strength, and endurance when the work becomes challenging in my mentorship program.
9. I agree to fully commit to the pre-paid months that I sign up for to facilitate the required change. I understand it is 100% my responsibility to take action in order to witness change in my life. I understand it is not my mentor's responsibility to make me change or to create results in my life. I understand my mentor is there to guide me, and it is up to me follow through with consistent action.
10. I am aware that my mentor is a YouTuber for survivors of child sexual abuse, and I understand that my mentor (while keeping my name anonymous) may share stories of my progress on her YouTube channel to inspire other survivors that healing is possible.
